AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING
SECTION 12 B.l.(b) OF THE GILROY CITY CODE
DEFINING "SECONDHAND DEALER"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION Io Section 12 B.l.(b)'of the Gilroy City Code
is amended to read as follows:
(b) For the purposes of this chapter, a "secondhand
dealer" shall mean and include any person, copartnership, firm
or corporation who engages in buying, selling, trading, taking
in pawn, accepting for sale on consignment, accepting for
auctioning, or auctioning secondhand, tangible personal property.
A "secondhand dealer", as used in this chapter, shall not include
any person who performs the services of auctioneer for a fee
or salary.
SECTION II. Ail other ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force thirty (30) days from and after its adoption and
approval.
