AN ORDINAWCM providing for the issuance !
and payment of orders or warrants drawn'
upon thou Treasurer.
Section I. _'f §hall be the duty of the _City
Treasurer to file 'a report:on the first`Monday of
every month with the Ctt' xerk, of .all moneys
in the various funds in the City Treasury.
Section 2. No order or wdrrsi*upon'the City
Treasurer shall be drawn unless 'in pursuance<
of an. ordinance, - resolution' or ".motion duly
passed by the Board, ai}kd' unless there is suffi-
cient money in the fund upon which it is drawn,
unappropriated„ to meet the same.
Section 3. All warrants or orders uponthe City
Treasurer, for'the payj�EIIt�D£'irl# hiimey, shall
be. signed by the Mayo end odnntersigned by
the City Clerk, In' warr'16Kq" or order so
drawn shall be specified "'a, name, ,,Ve person
to'whom the same is paydble;'thez date and
amount thereof, the serviceii_or indebtedness
for which: it is imled, and shall _ be: pryyable "to
the person named therein or bearer.:
Section A. it shall be the duty of the City
Clerk to procure a suitable blank warrant book,
from which all warrants on the City Treasurer
shall be drawn, which shall contain marginal
stub- upon ts which shall be entered a synopsis of
t$o.conten of each warrant taken therefrom.
Section 6. It "shall be the duty of the City
erk to keep ii-a book properly ruled for that
rpose a record or register of all warrants
awn upon ,'the City Treasurer, specifying
'therein -the date;. amount and number of each
warrant so drawn; and in whose :favor and for
what purpose and upon what fund the same is
drawn. .
Section6.• It`shall be the'duty of the City
Clerk to keep a register of all accounts, bills
and demands against the city in the order of
their allowance by 'the B(Vrd, and' warrants
shall be drawn upon the Treasurer for the pay-
ment thereof in the ordeRgWWhigh they appear
upon such register.
