On account of the absence o~ the Mayor the regular ad- " journed meeting o~, the Con.Ullolf Council o~ July 6th, was call- ed to order by the Clerk. Uotion by E. Martin Johnson, duly seconded and carried that Elmer J. Chesbro be appointed President i-po-tem :for the meeting. Present Councilmen Chas. H. Pierce, E. Martin Johnson, C. E. Fre(lriclcson, Jerome Chappell, Elmer J. Chesbro; .Absent Councilman Gerald lIecker. E. Hartin Johnson, Chairman of' the Sewer Comn:i ttee made a short statement relative to certain resolutions wldch he :.L ;- intended to introduce. Motion by E. 1iartin Johnson seconded by Jel"ome Chappell '. and carried the f'ollowing resolution was adoptedl WILEllEAS, on July 10,1922, Mr. Charles E. Sloan addressed a letter to the 11ayor and COllllllon Council relative to the con- struction of a sewage Disposal Plant for this city, and since said date has SUbl~ ttell certain reports, plans and estimates_,: and WHEREAS, said plans llTere to receive the approval of the state Board o~ Health bef'ore being submitted to the Common Council, and WIIEnEAS, none ot! said plans have received the approval o~ the state Board or Health, and the same are not satis:factory x~( to this ComUOll Council, theref'ore be it 283 r~SOINI~D, that the resolution of' July 10, 192~~, authoriz- ing said 8108.n to SUbEli t plans f'or a se'\{2r system pursuant to his letter of' July 10, 19~22, tOGether "Ii th all resolutions hereto f'oreaclopted respecting Sewage treatment plant or Sew- age Disposal Plant or in any ''lay appertaining thereto, be and the same are hereby rescinded, rejected and abandoned.
