Present Councilmen Chas. H. Pierce, E. Martin Johnson, C. E. Fredriokson, Jerome Chappell, Gerald Hecker, Elmer J. In minutes o~ Jan. 17theorrections were ordered as follows: In order to Clerk to notify Bell & Grif'fin to do oer- tain road work the word 8urb be .hanged to =utter, and in mo- tioD ordering boulevard stop signs the number be changed from one dozen to thirteen. Martin Johnson seconded by Jerome Chappell Ordinance No. 343 was passed and adopted after having been read and re-read by title as rollows: An ordinance regulatin~ traff'ic and the care of' Tehieles and animals on and over the public streets of the City of' Gil- roy, prescribing a penalty f'or the Tiolation of' any proTis- ions hereof' and repealing Ordinance No. 322 and all Ordinances and parts of' Ordinances in conflict aerewith. Thomas, a single woman, whereby there is conweyed to the City of Gilroy, Ranch Lot No. 51, containing 190.45 acres, which lot is designated on Map No. 7 accompanying the final report of the referees in the partition suit of' Henry Miller, et al. TS. , Massey Thomas, et ale Suit No 5536 Superior Court of' the Coun- ty of' Santa Clara together with a right of way f'or ingress to and egress from said property f'rom the Monterey Road (State Highway) as described in said deed, now, there~ore, be it RESOLVED; That said deed be'and.tke same is hereby accepted by the City of Gilroy and the same is ordered placed (..... ,j . . ,(..." Amount or warrants allowed $ 2504.05 on the General Fund and $ 1609.40 on the Sewage Disposal Imp. Fund of 1927; to tal, $ 4113.45. Motion by Chesbro seoonded and carried that the Bond of' JUlia Allen, Treasurer. be increased $ 36,000.00 and that the Chairman of' the Finance Committee be instructed to secure same f'rom Chesbro & Green.
