Present Council~en Chas. H. Pierce, E. Martin Johnson, C. E. Fredrickson, Jerome Chappell, Gerald Hecker, ~lmer J. Chesbro; Absent, Councilmen, None. The minutes of meetings of Feb. 7th, Feb. 14th and Feb. 21st were read and ordered approTed. Mo~thly reports presented as follows: License Collector, City Clerk, Water Collector, Pollee'Judge and Health Off'ioer, 308 and by motion or Chesbro seconded by Hecker and carried or- ,-' . ',..-,,,.,-' dered accepted and placed on file. Matter of' warning signs at Railroad crossings ref'erred to the street Committee. Communication from Town of' Los Gatos relatiTe to milk inspection presented. Motion by Chappell duly seconded and carried: That'<, a resolution be ordered drafted on milk inspection to be pre- sented to the Board of' Supervisors of santa Clara County. The Chainuan of' the street Committee reported that f'ur- ther time was necessary in matter of' street paving. The Clerk was instructed to write to MoBride & Gordon ror itemized statement e:r claim of Chas. E. Sloan. By motion of Gerald Hecker, seconded by Jerome Chap- pell the f'ollowing resolution was adopted: \VIIEImAS, the good heal tb of' the CODIDlUni ties of this County demand that only pure milk should be served to the public~ and IDIElillAS, all dairies are conducted outside or the the boundaries of the munioipalities o~ the County over which the municipal authorities haTe no jurisdiGtion, there~ore be it RESOLVED, that the Board of' Supervisors of this County be requested to provide ways and means f'or providing a thorough inspection of' all dairies of the County now enga- ged in the sale of' milk to local inhabitants. The Clerk w~ instructed to notif'y the Siracode Sig- Ral Corporation of' San Francisco that the Council had de- cided not to accept its of'f'er regarding siracode fire alarm. Motion by E. 1Iartin Johnson, seconded by C. E. Motion by Chappell, seconded by Pierce and carried that the Glad Tidig,gs Mission be allow'ed to construct church edi- fice at corner of Hanna and Sixth streets. Vote, Ayes Councilmen, Chas. lI. E. Fredrick- son Ordinance Nb. 345 was passed and adopted after having been read and re-read by title as follows: An Ordinance to amend and add new Sec tion to Ordinance No. 343, regulating traf'fic and the care of Tehicles and ani- mals over the public streets of' the City of Gilroy, prescrib- ing a penalty f'or the Tiolation or any provisions thereof' and repealing all Ordinances and parts of' Ordinances in conflict herewith. The regular monthly bills were read and by motion of Gerald Hecker.. seconded by Elmer J. Chesbro and carried were allowed and warrants ordered dra\1n.
