The regular adjourned meeting of the COnIDIOn Council of
May 23rd, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Jas. Prince-
valle.
Present Councilmen Chas. H. Pierce, E. Martin Johnson, C.
E, Fredrickson, Jerome Chappell, Gerald Hecker, Elmer J. Ches-
bro
By motion of' E. Martin Johnson, seconded by Elmer J. Ches-
bro the f'ollmring resolution was adopted:
\niElillAS, the plans and specif'ications of the City Engineer
for building a main outlet sewer, laying drains eor carrying
away surplus lrater and constructing a sewage disposal plant f'or
.tre; City of Gilroy, Calif'ornia, have been approved by the Cali-
f'ornia state Board of Health, and permit to proceed with the
''fOrk has been granted, nOlT, tIEref'ore, be. it
nESOINED:
That the plans and specirications as peepared
by the City Engineer be and the same are hereby approved ane
adopted, and said work ordered done in accordance therewith, and
the City Clerk be and he is hereby instrU'eted to adv.ertise for
proposals or bids f'or f'urnishing the materials, labor, trans-
portation and all else necessary to construct Se\Vel"s, a sewage
disposal plant, and a systffill of' drainage pipe f'or the surplus
water coming from the ta~{ in accordance with said plans and
specif'ications, said proposals or bids to be f'iled with the City
Clerk on or bef'ore 8:00 o'Clock, P. M. of' the 14th day of
June, 1927, and to be opened by the Common Council in open
,
session at 8:15 o'Clock, P. ~1. of' said day, in the manner pro-
vided f'or in said plans and specif'ications.
