ed to order by His Honor Mayor Jas. princevalle.
Present Councilmen, Chas. H. Pierce, Jerome Chappell, Ger-
aId necl~er, Elmer J. Chesbro.
The minutes of' meetings of' AUg. 8th, Aug. 17th, Aug. ~~4th
and Aug. 31st were read and ordered approved.
Heports presented as f'olloVfS: License Collector, Police
. Judge, City Clerk, Water Collector and City Engineer, and by lilO-
tion of' Chesbro, seconded by Hecker and carried orclerecl accepted
and placed on f'ile.
Motion by Chappell, second.ecl by Hekel' and carriecl: That the
Oakland Sewer Construction Co. be granted f'orty days extension
of time f'or completing its contract.
The COlilllli ttee on computing tax rate presented its report anel
by mo tion of' lIecker, seconded by Chappell amI carried it lvas order-
ed that said report be accepted, and that the tax rate f'or 1927
and 19~Z8 be G 1.68 on each S 100. of' assessed valuation, divided

Motion by Hecker, seconcled by Chesbro and carried; That the
City place one hose cart and about 300 f'eet of f'ire hose near the
Filice & Perrelli Canning Cots. plant provided said Company pro-
duce a good place in which to house the apparatus.
