The regular monthly meeting of the Common Council was call- ed to order by Bis Bonor Mayor Jas. princevalle. Present Counsilmen Chas. B. Pierce, E. Martin Johnson, C. E. Fredrickson, Jerome Chappell, Gerald Becker, Elmer J. Chesbro; Absent Councilmen, Bone. The minutes of meetings of De? 5th and Dec. 12th were read and ordered approved. ~ Officers reports presented as follows. Marshals License and Tax Report, Police JUdge, City Clerk, Water Collector and also quarterly reports of Treasurer and Clerk, and by motion of , Fredrickson, seconded by Becker-and carried, It was ordered that-said reports be accepted and placed on file. Motion by Fredrickson, seconded by Hecker and carried that petition to repair Thomson Building be allowed. Motion by Fredrickson, seconded by Pierce and carried: That Judge John M. Boesch be appointed Police Judge for the City of Gilroy ~or-the ensuing year. Motion by Hecker, seconded and carried that two weeks fur- ther time be allowe4 the Committee in charge of paving. The clerk was instructed to write letter to Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Parrish thanking them for release from further payments for garbage disposal lease. Pl.us from state Fire Marshal for cleaning works located in the City of Gilroy were ordered placed on file. Motion by Johnson, seconded by Chappell and carried that ~--. 1 ~- the Clerk be ~nstructed to notify the Coast Counties Ras & Electric Company to install street light in the rear of the Depot Garage on Depot Avenue. The regular monthly bills were then read and by motion 0' FredriCkson, seconded by E. Martin Johnson and carried, it was ordered that bills be allowed and warrants drawn. Amount of warrants allowed $ 2595.22 on the General Fund, $ 906.69 on the Sewage Disposal Imp. Fund of 1927, Total Warrants allowed, $3401.91. Adjourned until Monday, January 16th, 1928. City Clerk.
