The regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council of
Jan. 9th, 1928, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Jas.
Princevalle.
present Councilmen Chas. H. Pierce, E. iartin Johnson, C.
E. Fredrickson, Jerome Chappell, Gerald Hecker, Elmer J.

Chesbro, Absent Councilmen, None.
Petition signed by pDoperty owners in matter of paving
was presented.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Chappell and carried: That
petition as presented be referred to the street Committee,
City Engineer and City Clerk to check up frontage and report

Motion by Hecker seconded by Chappell and carried: That

the Sewer Comnlittee be empowered to proceed in matter of bor-
ing well and installing pump at the Sewer Farm.
Motion by Chappell, second~d by Johnson and carried that
the High School Board be allowed to erect a tennis court on
the City of Gilroy park property, also to allow it to re-
move one dead tree and one scrub tree which are now standing
on that part desired for the court.
Motion by Ohappell, duly seconded and carried: That the
City Attorney be requested to draw up contract for the Sewer
Committee with Louis Poire relative to the use of garbage
dump and cl.eaning of cscreeD at Sewer Farm.
