OWing to the absence of the Mayor the regular monthly meeting of the Common Oouncil was oalled to order by the Clerk. < B,..otion of C. E. Fredrickson, seconded by Gerald Becker and oarried, it was ordered, that Elmer J. Chesbro act as President pro-tam. Present Counoilmen Chas. H. Pierce, E. Martin Johnson, C. E. Fredrickson, Jerime Ohappell, Gerald Becker, Elmer J. Ches- bro; Absent, Councilmen, lone. The minutes of meetings of Jan. 3rd, Jan. 9th and Jan. 17th were read and ordered approved. Communication from Byers BRo's. relative to renewing tires on tractor was referred to the street Committee. Reports of officers presented as follows: Marshal's License report, Police ludge, Water Collector and City " Clerk, and by motion of FredriCkson, duly seconded and car- ried ordered accepted .,d placed on file. City Attorney instructed to draw up &~bag~~lease with L. Poire for one year at $ 20.00 per month. Matter of renting all or part of the Sewer Farm Lands left with the Sewer Dept. Committee and the City Attorney to ad- ~'} -", ".~ _' vertise for bids. The matter of changes on the Atkinson property W~s refer- red to the street Department Committee. Motion by Hecker seconded by Chappell and carried: That the Board of Health be allowed up to $ 200.00 for purchasing sup- plies for conducting milk inspection. By motion of E. Martin Johnson, duly seconded and carried, it was ordered! -That the salary o~ Police Judge be increased $ 10.00 per month. By motion of E. Ma~tin Johnson, seconded by Gerald Hecter and carried: it was ordered that the raise of $-10.00 allow- ed the Police Judge is hereby rescinded. The regular monthly bills were then read and by motion of Fredrickson, seconded by Chappell and carried ordered allow- ed and warrants ordered drawn.
