Minutes 1928/06/04 367 Gilroy, Calif" June 4th, 1928. The regular monthly meeting of the Common Council was called to order by His Honor Mayor Jas. Princevalle. Present Councilmen Chas. H. Pierce, E. Martin Johnson, C. E. - Fredrickson, Jerome Chappell, Gerald Hecker, Elmer J.~Chesbro; Absent Councilmen, None. The minutes of May 8th and May 14th were read and ordered ap- proved. Motion by Fredrickson seconded by Hecker and carried: That the regular monthly bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn on the treasury. Amount of warrants allowed $ 2872.22 on the General Fund. Motion by Hecker, seconded by Chappell and carried that build- ing permits be issued to P. Camborde and J. S. Malloch. Officers reports presented as follows: Marshal and License Col- lector, Police JUdge, City Clerk and Water Collector, and by mo- tion of Chappell, seconded and carried ordered accepted and pla- ced on file. The minutes of this meeting were then read by the Clerk and by motion of Chesbro, seconded by Johnson and carried were ordered approved and the Council adjourned, Sine Die. cf ~ycr:a~' Gilroy, Calif., June 4, 1928. Officers bonds presented as follows: Marshal and License Collector, Treasurer and City Clerk and by motion of Chesbro, seconded by Fredrickson and carried were ordered accepted and approved by the Mayor. Petition for bridge on Lewis street and also a new sewer was referred to the street and Sewer Co~nittecs. Motion by Johnson, seconded and carried: That Supervisor Hecker be allowed to cut away the corner at Hecker Highway and the Burchell Road. Health Officer R. H. Prien was allowed one months vacation and Dr. E. J. Chesbro to take his place during absence. Louis s. Osbourne presented his resignation as City Traffic of- ficer and the same was left,/in the hands of the Police Depart- went Connni ttee. Motion by Fredrickson, seconded by Johnson and carried: That the Marshal be allowed $ 10.00 per month for gasoline for his uar used in connection with the Police Department. Matter of' discharging fireworks was lef't in the hands of the Marshal. Motion by Chesbro, seconded by Fredrickson and carried: That we adjourn until Wednesday, June 6th, 1928, at 8 p.m. at City Hall for the consideration of paving resolutions. t;~ !~~u4-, .
