Minutes 1928/07/26 371 Gilroy, Calir., July 26th, 1928. The regular adjourned meeting of the Common Councilor July 19th, 1928, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Jas. . Princevalle. Present Councilmen Walter G. Fitzgerald, E. Martin John- son, John A. Clark, Irvin Hollister; Absent Councilmen C. E. Fredrickson, Elmer J. Chesbro. The Mayor announced that this was the date for opening the bids for furnishing water pipe. 372 .~ ::'~:: The Clerk stated that four bids had been presented. , ~.,_...... Motion by Hollister seconded by Fitzgerald that bids for fur- 1JMiI.,1l>1't' nishing pipe be opened. Motion by Johnson, seconded by Clark that the Council adopt a-inch pipe with the exception of 350 feet of 6-inch. Motion by Johnson seconded and carried that the order for furnishing 2475 feet of 8-inch be awarded to C. G. Claussen & Co. by Johnson ~lotion^seconded by Hollister and carried: That the order for 350 feet of 6-inch pipe be awarded to C. G. Claussen & Co. For further reference all four of said bids are now on file in the office of the City Clerk. Motion by Clark, seconded by Hollister and carried: That certified checks be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. 1Iotion by Johnson, seconded by Fitzgerald and carried: That lead, valves and oakum be purchased from the Waterworks Supply Company of San Francisco. Motion by Johnson, seconded by Clark and carried: That bills of Byers Bro' s _. and Chas. W. Tharp be allowed and war- rants ordered drawn. Adjourned subject to the call of the Chair.
