Minutes 1928/09/04 374 Gilroy, Calir., Sept. 4th, 1928. The Board of Equalization meeting was called to order by His Honor Mayor Jas. Princevalle. Present Councilmen Wal ter G. Fitzgerald, C. E. ,li'redrick- son, John A. Clark, Irvin Hollister, Elmer J. Chesbro; Ab- sent Councilman E. Martin Johnson. No complaints on assessments were made at this session. Motion by Elmer J. Chesbro seconcled by John A. Clark and carried that we adjourn as a Board ror the Equalization of taxes and re-convene as a Common Council. City Clerk. Gilroy, Calir., Sept. 4th, 1928. The regular monthly meeting of the Conullon Council was call- ed to order by His Honor Mayor Jas. Princevalle. Present Councilmen Walter G. Fitzgerald, C. S. Fredrickson, John A. Clark, Irvin Hollister, Elmer J. Chesbro; Absent , Councilman E. ~artin Johnson. The minutes or meetings of Aug. 10th, Aug. 23rd, and Aug. 30th were read and ordered approved. COWlilunications were presented as rollows: League or Calif. MuniCipalities, Hotel 11allory, Doard or Fire Underwriters and Library Board. ') '; 1'":: .~, e i Petitions requesting paving on certain streets were reafl and referred to the street Conullittee. Officers reports presented, viz: License Collector, Police JUdge, City Clerk and Vater Collector, and by motion of Chesbro seconded and carried ordered accepted and placed on file. Library communication taken up and it was agreecl that the Board be allowed $ 3400.00 at time of fixing tax rate. Motion by Chesbro, seconded by Clark and carried: That the street Committee be authorized to have an ordinance prepared rela- tive to parking cars in front of' hotels, etc. The street Committee was requested to report back on petitions requesting paving on Martin and Sixth streets. The case of' John 111. Boesch was referred to the Police Connnittee to repor t . The regular monthly bills wore read and by motion of' Chesbro, seconded by Hollister and carriecl order'ed allowed. and warrants drawn. Amount or warrants allowed $ 7244.08 on the General Fund.
