The regular adjourned meeting or the Common Council of April
1st, 1929, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Jas. Princevalle.
Present Councilmen Walter G. Fitzgerald, E. Martin Johnson, C.
E. Fredrickson, Irvin Hollister, Elmer J. Chesbro; Absent Coun-

Motion by Fitzgerald, seconded and carried:
That bond or the
Deputy City Treasurer be ~ixed at $ 35,000. to be taken out in a
reliable surety company.
Petition o~ remonstrance to the erection o~ two garages on
property o~ John J. Cook presented.
Petition o~ John J. Cook tak~n up and not allowed.
Motion by Fitzgerald, seconded by Hollister and carried: That
the City allow the Chamber o~ Commerce $ 3.50 per month ~or lighting
posts at entrance to the City.
Matter or purchase or chairs ~or city hall considered but no act-
ion was taken.
It was ordered that April 22nd be the time ~or receiving and op-
ening bids ~or ~urnishing pipe and extras,
land to be opened on May 6th.
Motion by John~on, seconded by Fitzgerald and carried: That
and bids ~or sale of
we build a fence on the Sewer farm property rendered by the Super-
intendent, upon receiving from Mr. Quinin a release or the rormer
agreement.
City Engineer Ray Fisher reported that the survey o~ the s~reets
proposed to be paved had been made and also including the storm
sewer, etc.
Estimate on cost of storm sewer was p~esented by Engineer Fisher.
City Attorney requested to communicate with the Southern Paci~ic
Company abouts right or way ~or storm sewer across railroad proper-
ty at First and Martin streets.
Motion by E. Martin Johnson, seconded by Chas. E. Fredrickson,
and carried: That the City Engineer be instructed to make the sur-
vey of the additional streets proposed to be paved according to the
diagram placed in his hands.
