Present : Councilmen Geo. Easton, Fred C. Boock, S. D. Heck, George C. Milias Jr, J. H. Rush, Geo. A. Wentz. Absent : CouncilInan None. The minutes of June 6th, June 21st and June 30th were read and ordered approved. By motion of George C. Milias Jr seconded by Geo. A. Wentz, Ordinance No. 383 was passed and adopted after having been read and re-read by title as fbllows :- AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE DISTRIBUTION IN THE CITY OF GILROY OF ADVERTISING SA1:1PLES,HANDBILLS, DODGERS, CIRCULARS,BOOKLETS .AND OTHER NOTICES OF COMrvlERCIAL ADVERTISING. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING A TAX ON REGISTERED AUTOMOBILES, MOTOR CYCLES, AND MOTOR PROPELLED VEHICLES OVlNED OR IN POSSESSION OF ANY PERSON,FIR11 OR CORPORATION IN THE CITY OF GILROY. Vote; Ayes, Councilman Fred C. Boock, Geo.C. Milias Jr, George Easton, J.H. Rush, S. D. Heck, Geo. A. Wentz. Noes: Councilman, None. Absent: Councilman, None. Motion by Heck, seconded by Wentz that Vehicle Ordinance be published in the Evening Dispatch and that 500 slips be printed. The matter of oiling streets was left in the hands of the St~eet Committee. Motion by Heck seconded and carried;that the bills as segregated be allowed and warrants ordered drawn.
