Minutes 1932/09/06 (;)';)1 .kt "'" J'_ Gilroy, Calif., Sept. 6, 1932. The regular monthly meeting of the Common Council was called to order by His Honor Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro. Present Councilmen Geo. Easton, J. H. Rush, Geo. Milias, Jr., S. D. Heck, Geo A. Wentz; Absent Councilmen, None. The Minutes of meetings of Aug. 1, Aug. 18, Aug. 25th and Sept. I were read and ordered approved. Motion by Milias seconded by Easton and carried: That license for special towel service be fixed at $ 5.00 per quarter. Communications were read as follows: Application for position made vacant by the death of Raymond Burgess and asking for the removal of the McMullen property on South Forest street. Anplication of Leland DuRose and Leo F. Nolan for license to sell wine and beer provided the present laws are changed was ordered placed on file. Motion By Heck seconded by Milias that Ordinance No. 385 be passed and adopted after having beenread and re-read by title as follows: AD Ordinance inviting sealed bids for the purchase of Gilroy Waterworks Improvement Bonds of 1931. Motion by Easton seconded by Milias and carried: That the Finance Committee secure bids from the various oil Companies -for furnishing the City with gasoline. Motion by Wentz duly seconded and carried that the Council meet during the winter months at 7:30 instead of 8:00 O~clock, p. m. Motion by Wentz seconded by Easton and carried: That the special police power granted to Harry Johnson be revoked and he be given the same authority as granted others, viz: to proceed with his work without any objection on the part ,*"" \......,. of' the City.
