Minutes 1934/07/02 2b.~) Gilroy, Calif., July 2, 1934. 'ihe Hegular monthly meeting of the Common Council was called to order by His Honor Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro. Present Councilmen Rush, Boock, '.'Jentz, Heck, Stewart, Milias; Ab- sent Councilmen, None. 'l.ihe Minutes of June lIth, 1934, were read and ordered approved. - Officers reports for the Month of June, 1934 were read and by motion of Boock, seconded by~'jentz accepted and ordered placed on .... file. Petition of James Blacow to establish a store on Fourth and Rosanna Streets was read Motion by 7fentz seconded by Heck and carried that the Blacow petition be rejected. Application of Chesbro &, Eustice realtive to insurance on City Hall also letter from said firm were referred to the Finance qnd the Buildings and grounds Committees for consideration. On motion by Councilman George A. \Nentz seconded by Councilman J. H. Rush Resolution No. 40 approving pIns and specifications for pipe work was passed and adopted as follows:- - Be it resolved by the COIDrJon Councilof the City of Gilroy: ..... L~ That the plans and specifications submitted by City En- gineer Ray ~J. Fisher, to be used by said City in the acquisition, construction and completion of a main cast iron pipe line to re- place the present main steel pipe line conve'ing water to the City of Gilroy be and the same are hereby approved snd adopted. 2. This resolution shall take effect iTIlli1ediately. Vote, Ayes Councilmen S. D. Heck, J. H. Rush, Geo. C. Milias, Jr., Ben stewart, George A. 7entz; Noes, Councilmen, None; Absent, Councilmen, None. Motion by Heck, seconded by Rush and carriedthat there be no ...... tax charge for automobiles owned by active firemen. Motion by Wentz seconded by Rush and curried that 'l~ 14.50 or .... 50 )J of license collected on May 12th be donated to Victoria Council, I.D.E.S. The regular monthly bills were then read 5nd by motion of Councilman Hush, seconded by Councilman r:entz were allowed end warrants ordered drawn.
