Gilroy, Calif., Aug. 13, 1934.
The regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council of
August 6th, 1934, was called to order by His Honor Mayor El-
mer J. Chesbro.
Present Councilmen Rush, Heck, Stewart, TIentz, Milias;
Absent Councilman Fred C. Boock.
The matter of zoning ordinance was taken up and the eity
Attorney stated that the legality of theOrdinance is protected
by the state law.

The City Attorney was then requested to write to the Le~-
gue of California Municipalities s.nd endeavor to seC-lI'e s1miler
ordinances in force in cities of"about the same size as GilrC'y.
The meeting then adjourned subject
to the call of the Chair.
