Gilroy, Calif., March 4th, 1935.
The regular monthly meeting of the Common Council was called
to order by His Honor Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro.
Present Councilmen Fred C. Boock, S. D. Heck, Ben Stewart,
George C. Milias, Jr., Absent Councilmen J. H. Rush, George A.
Vientz.
The minutes of Feb. 4th and Feb. 18th were read and ordered
ap)roved.
Wm. Ahlers appeared before the Council regarding the condit-
ion of the street in front of his residence and WCiS promiseu
thst the condition would be remidied.
~~eereports of city officers were presented and by motion
of Councilman Milias, seconded by Councilman
Boock, it was or-
dered that said reports be placed on file.
Motion by Stewart seconded by Boock and carried that Mc-
Quillanes Municipal law books be purchased for the use of the
City Attorney.
Motion by George C. Milias Jr. seconded by Fred C. Boock that
Attorney jas. S. Byers be engaged to represent the City in the suit
of Chas. "E. Sloan vs. City of Gilroy and report back to the Coun-
cil.
Motion by S. D. Heck, Seconded by George C. Milias that the
regular monthly bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn.
