Minutes 1935/05/15 1814 Gilroy, Calif., May 15th, 1935. The regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council of May 6th, 1935, was called to order by His Honor Mayor Elmer d. Chesbro. Present Councilmen Bpoek, Reek, stewart, Mi1ias; Absent Oounel~en J. H. Rush and Geo. A. Wentz. Motion by Mi1ias seconded by stewart and carried: Tha t Or- dlnance No. 412 be adopted after having been read abd re-read by title as follows: An Ordinance amending Artio1e 11 of Chapter 11 of part 111 of the Munioipal code of the City 9t Gilroy, by adding a new section thereto, to be numbered 336 relating to license classification and C~ charges, and providing that transient solicitors and salesmen shallp pay a license. Vote, Ayes Counoilmen Geo. C. Milias, J*, S. D. Heek, Fred O. Boock, Ben stewart; A'bsent Councilmen J. H. Rush, Geo. A. Wentz Councilman J. H. Rush then appeared and was aarked present. Motion by Boock, seconded by Milias and carried that Jos. Walsh be allowed $ 10.00 per month for the use of his ear, Com- mencingv with May 1st. The Clerk was instructed to insert an advertisement in the Dispatch as_ting that if property owners would cut grass four feet (l awaJYfrom buildings and fences that the same would be burned by the City Employees. .. A coffee salesman made comp1aintrelative to the ordinancec governing motor transportation of merchandise, and the Clerk was instrueted to notify him there would be no change in the license charge. ~,.
