Gilroy, Calif. Oct. 29, 1935
The regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council of Oct. 7th, 1935,
was called to order by His Honor, Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro.
Present C-mncilmen were Fred C. Boock, S. D. Heck, George A. Wentz,
George C. Milias, Jr. Absent Councilman was Ben Stewart.
Gurries and Bussert made application to build a corragated iron
building on the property formerly in name of Bevan on N. Monterey Street,
Motion by Boock, seconded by Milias and carried that permit be
granted to Gurries and Bussert to erect building.
Mr. L~ Machia was granted permission to place new roof on the building
occupied by the Pollyanna Bakery.
It was agreed that the liayor and Council settle the agreement with the
C. C. Gas and Electric Company for the part in rear of the City Hall and where
the gas works are located for $4,500.00, and the Clerk was directed to notify
the C. C. Gas and Electric of the agreement.
Motion by Wentz, seconded by Boock that the Mayor and City Clerk be
