Gilroy, Califor.nia. April 6th, 1936
The regular monthly meeting of the Common Council was ,called to order
by His Honor, Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro.
Present Councilmen were Fred Boock, S. D. Heck, Ben Stewart, J. H.
Rush, George A. Wentz. Absent Councilman, George C. Milias, Jr.
The minutes of meetings of March 2nd and 20th were read and ordered
approved.
The matter of plumbing Ordinance was referred to the Ordinance Committe~
for consideration.
Motion by Rush, sec,onded by Wentz, that elec~ion supplies be ordered' "
from H. S. Crocker and Company.
It was ordered that assesment sheets be furnished by the Evening
Dispatch.
The regular monthly reports of offices were furnished and by motion of
Wentz, seconded by Boock, were accepted and ordered placed on file.
Motion by George Milias, seconded by Fred C. Boock that proposed
new water pipe line be installed" money to come from the Water Redemption
Fund of 1934, and transferred to the Water Fund.
Motion by Wentz, seconded by Heck, that the following Resolution be
passed and adopted, viz:
Vote: AYESt Fred C. Boock, Ben Stewart, J. H. Rush, S. D. Heck, George
A.Wentz, George C. Milias, Jr.
Certain slot machin~s ,ere ordered returned to Fred Rea.
Motion by Heck, seconded by Ben Stewart and carried, that a donation
of $50.00 be made to the Gilroy High School Band.
It was direated that Paul H. Tremaine 'a salary be placed at $140.00.
The regular monthly bills were presented and bJ motion of Rush, seconded
by Stewart, ordered allowed and warrants drawn.
