Minutes 1936/04/17 q.) I j dd;J Gilroy, California April 17th, 1936 The regular adjourned meeting of April 6th, 1936, was called to order by His Honor, Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro. .. Present Councilmen were Fred C. Boock, S. D. Heck, J. H. Rush, George C. Milias, Jr. Absent Councilmen were Ben Stewart and George A. Wentz. Matten of Shell Oil Company's building was presented. Motion by Heck, seconded by Milias, and carried, that a permit be granted to the Shell Oil ~ Company for building at Monte.r>ey Street and Pacheco Pass Road. Matter of slot machines at Walter Rupars was taken up and the Mayor stated that he would notify the Marshal to replace the machines provided minors were not allo\led to play the same in the future. urdinance No. 415 was passed after having been read and re-read by title as follovv s: AN ORDINANCE M~NDING SECTION 4 OF ORDINMrCE NO. 216 OF THE CITY OF GIh.:tOY, AS AME}WED BY SECTION 2. OF OHDINANCE NO. 304 OF THE SAID CITY OF GILROY, RELATING TO SEWERS, ~LUMBING AIm DRAINAGE. Vote. AYES: Councilmen Fred C. Boock, George C. Milias, Jr., S. D. Heck. NOES: None. Absent Councilmen~ Ben Stewart, George A. Wentz. Motion of a zoning Ordinance from 1st to 8th streets was referred to ,",-cthe Ordinance Committee. Motion by Boock, seconded by Rush that a donation of $50.00 be allowed the Gilroy Volunteer Fire Department.
