Gilroy, California May 11th, 1936.
The regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council of May 6th, 1936, was
called to order by His Honor, Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro.
Present Councilmen were Fred Boockt Ben Stewart, George A. Wentz, George
C. Milias, Jr. Absent: if. H.. Rush and S . D. Heck.
Resolution relative to the Gymkhana presented as follows:

WHEREAS, the Gilroy G-ymkhana and Horse Show has offered
to donate and give to the City of Gilroy the proceeds and profits
of its 1936 show and that of subsequent years remaining atter
the payment of actual and necessary expenses, for the sole and ex-
press purpose of maintaining and improving the parks and park
areas and ci ty grounds of the City of Gilroy.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved, by the Mayor and Common
Council of the City of Gilroy that the said offer is accepted and
that as and when received, the said proceeds from the said Gilroy
G-ymkhana and Horse Show for 1936 and subsequent ,ears be used
solely and expended by the said City of Gilroy for the maintenance
and improvements of the parks, park areas and grounds of the said
City of Gilroy and for no other purpose.
I hereby certi;f'y' that the foregoing is a full, true and cor-
rect copy of a resolution adopted by the Mayor and Cammon Council

of the City of Gilroy, at a meeting thereof held on the day
of May, A. D. 1936.
