May 15th, 1936.
The regular adjourned meeting of the COfmnon Council of May 11th, 1936,
was called to order by His Honor, Mayor Elmer J. Chesbro.
Present Councilmen were S. D. Heck, Ben Stewart, J. H. Rush, George A.
Wentz, George C. Milias, Jr. Absent Councilmen were: Fred C. Boock.
The first matter taken up was the bids for oiling streets. There were
two bids, one from the Bandy Oil Company, and one from the Palo Alto Road
Material Company. Mot on by Rush, seconded by Milias, and carried, that the
road oil be purchased from the Palo Alto Road Material Company.
Motion by Rush, seconded by Milias, and carried, that the $275.00
collected as licence from the Carnival Company be donated to the Gymkhana
Association.
