The regular monthly meeting of the Common Council was
called to order by His Honor MayorS.D.Heok,all members of
the Council being present.
The minutes of the meeting of Februa!y 1st were read and
approved.
Mr.H.E.Robinson appeared before the Council to discuss
the Fire Ordinance and asked that a room built by Henry
White, at the real" of 157 N.Monterey Street "be removed.
. Motion by George C.Milias,Jr. ,seconded by George Mason
that the building permit issued to Henry White be granted
with the proviso that the building be entirely covered with
corrugated iron from the ground up to and inoluding the
eaves. Motion carried.
A communication from Lieb & Lieb,attorneys for the
Estate of Mary Ousley,deceased,ralative to the Golf Club
property was read. The communication was referred to the
City Attorney for action.
The bond of tll.e C1tJ'.'Clerk was presented and approved
by Hi s Honor Mayor S. D.Heck.
Motion by Harry L.Wilkinson,seconded by J.B.Rush and carried
that Reports of Officers be accepted and placed on file.
Mr.Al Covey appears before the Council to discuss the
establishing of a Merchants Patrol service.
Motion by George C.Milias,Jr. ,seconded by Harry L.Wilkinson
and carried that a letter of recommendation be given Mr.Covey.
Motion by J.H.Ruah,seconded by Harry L.Wilkinson and carried
that bills as presented be allowed and warrants ordered drawn on
the Treasury.
