Minutes 1938/01/14 L128 Gilroy,California. .January 14,1938. A regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is cal~ed to order by His Honor Mayor S.D. Heck. Present Councilmen George Milias,.Jr.,.Jack Rogers,.J.H.Rush, George Y~son,George Martin. Absent Councilman Nat,Eeiner. . Motion by Councilman Milias,seconded by Councilman Martin and carried that the bid of the Union Oil Co.of California to supply the City with gasoline for the year,.January 14,1938 to January 13, 1939,be accepted as presented and signed. Motion by Councilman Rash,seconded by Councilman Rogers aDd carried that the agreement with the Zlectrical Products Corpor- ation,for the complete furnishing and installation of two double- faced signs for $32.00 per month for 36 months,be accepted and the Mayor authorized to sign same. The Clerk is instructed to open the bids for the construction of a concrete box culvert,on Leavesley Road. - Bids presented: George C.Renz,$720.;Wm.Radtke,$72l.;Collins & Martin,$757.;.J.C.Bateman,$977. Motion by Councilman Mason,seconded by Councilman Rogers and carried that the bid of George C.Renz of $72Q. be accepted,his being the lowest and best bid, the Clerk to return the certified check of .J.C.Bateman and retain the two remaining bids for 30 days. . Motion by Councilman Rogers,seconded by Councilman Rush and carried that the Clerk write the Pacific Greyhound Lines cal~ing their attention to the parking of their busses on Old Gilroy Street.
