BE IT RESOLVED that thel'e is hereby created a fund to be knovm as the "Special in Lieu Auto Tax Fund;" BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all moneys allocated to and re- ceived by the City of Gilroy, pursuant to the laws of the State of California, State Motor Vehicle licensee fee funds, be placed in said f~md and that the same be expended and disbursed solely and exclusively for the following uses, to wit:- a. Purchase and maintenance of police motorcycles and cars used principally for traffic control work, b. Salaries of officers used principally for traffic control, c. Traffic signals, warning siGns, painting of traffic lanes, lighting costs for bridges, highways, tunnels, et c., d. Construction of safety signs and zones, e. Traffic safety surveys, studj.es and similar Vlork, f. Such portion of the compensation of police officers as may be properl'J- chargeable against sa:i.d fund in proportion to their time used in traffic control work.
