This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor S.D.Heck.
Present:Counoilmen George C.M1lias,.Jr.,.Jack Rogers,.James Battersby,
George A.Martin,George M.Mason. Absent: Councilman Nat Heiner.
Mr..John stelling-appears before the Council to discuss the sigaing
~f.an Agreement of Easement on his land f~ the proposed levee on the
Carnadero Creek. Points at issue are discussed and upon satisfactory
explanation Mr.Stelling states that he will sign the agreement Friday
morning,September 30,1938 at the office of the.City Attorney.
Motion by, Councilman Rogers,seconded by Counmlman Battersby and:
carried unanimously that the city of Gilroy pay to .John H.and Bartha
A.Stelling the sum of $800.00 damages for a right of way across~,
their land as evidenoed ~y agreement already drawn,payment to be made
on the first day work is begun on the levee.
