This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called
to order by His Honor Mayor S.D.Heck.
Present:Councilmen George C.Milias,Jr.,.Jack Rogers,James
Battersby,George M.Mason,Nat Heiner. Absent:Councilmen George A.
Martin.
Motion by Councilman Heiner, seconded by Councilman Rogers amd
carried unanimously that the Clerk be instructed to advertise for
bids for lumber for the levee along the east bank of the Carnadero
Creek.

Notice is hereby given that the City of Gilroy invites bids
for the furnishing to it of the materials, to wit, lumber as here-
inafter described. Sealed bids will be received by P. A. COX,
City Clerk of the City of Gilroy at his office in the City Hall
Gilroy, California until 5:00 o'clock P.tI.af Saturday, October
22nd, 1938.

All bids must be in writing.
The City of G~oy proposes to purchase and the bids will
be for lumber delivered at jobsite, levee, near Miller Avenue,
Gilroy, California, as follows:
Approximately 8000 F.B.M. 2" No. 1 Com. O.P. in
sizes 2" x 4" to 2" x 12". Delivery of above lumber
to be made when and as requested by Common Council.
Price per thousand F.B.M. for each size shall be set
forth in the bid.
l24 pieces 10" x lOti x 16' No. 1 Common Redvvood
Rough.
232 pieces 3" x l2" X 20' No.1 Common Redwood
Rough.
Each bidder shall specify earliest possible date of delivery
of Redwood pieces. Early delivery will be the essence of the
bid and determine acceptance thereof by the Con~on Council.
Bids will be opened in open session of the Cownon Council

at 8~00 o'clock R~.on the evening of October 22nd, 1938.
The Common Council reserves the right to reject and/or accept
any or all bids.
