This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called
to order by His Honor Mayor S.D.Heck,
Present:Councilmen .Jack Rogers,.James Battersby,George A.Martin,
George M.Mason,Nat Heiner. Absent:Councilman George C.Milias,.Jr.
This being the time specified for opening bids for lumber for
the levee on Carnadero Creek;three bids &~e presented and read:
Southern Pacific Milling Co.,Gilroy Lumber Co.,Builders Supply Co.
A communication from,-tlie Division of Highways relative to
placing NO_.l?ASSING OVER DOUBLE LINE signs on Monterey .street is
read. No action is taken.
Councilman Rogers reports on 5urve-y'.made on the di tch at the
Sewer Farm. This matter is put over to the next regular meeting.
Motion by Councilman Rogers,seconded by Councilman Heiner and
carried that the Clerk be instructed to Write to the Pacific
Telephone and Telegraph Co. and ascertain their attitude toward
removing all their poles from North Monterey street.

Motion by Councilman Rogers, seconded by Councilman Reiner that
the Builders Supply Co.be awarded the bid for lumber on account
of early delivery date and that the next bid be rejected on account
of indefinite date of delivery.
