This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor S.D. Heck.
Present: Councilmen: George C.Milias,Jr.,Jack Rogers,James Battersby,
George A.Martin,George M.Mason,Nat Heiner. Absent:Councilmen: None.
A communication,signed by Albert Carrey,Arthur W.Schilling and
J.E.Ayer,the committee appointed by His Honor Mayor Heck to compose
a fact finding body to report to the Council with their recommendations
as to what shall be done as to accepting present offers far garbage
disposal,is read.
Motion by Councilman Battersby,seconded by Councilman Martin and

carried unanimously that the Garbage Disposal contract be advertised
for bids;that 8 surety bond of $2500.00 be furnished by the success-
fUl bidder;each bid be accompanied by a certified check in the amount
of $lOO.OO;that all bidders shall be bona fide bidders and such
garbage business shall- be at all times owned,conducted and controlled
by the successful bidder;that the City Attorney be instructed to
prepare an amendment to the Garbage Ordinance to change the bond to

read $2500.00 instead of $lOOO.OO and that a uniform form for bids
be obtained from the City Clerk to provide for flat bids only.

The Mayor instructs the Clerk to return a Cashiers' Check submitted
with the offer 0 f Richard Piedmont for the Garbage Dispo sal Contract.
