This regular adjourned meeting of the Comrnon Council is called
to order by His Honor Mayor S.D. Heck.
Present:Councilmen:George C.Milias,Jr.,Jack Rogers,James Battersby,
George A.Martin,George M.Mason,Nat Heiner. Absent: Councilmen: None.
Two applications for the position of Deputy City Clerk,to succeed
the late Victor Oddie,deceased,are presented.

Motion by Councilman Rogers ,seconded by Councilman Heiner and
carried that Graydon B.Carr be appointed Deputy City Clerk,Deputy
Tax Collector and Water Collector to hold office at the pleasure of

the Mayor and Common Council
Motion by Councilman Milias,seconded by Councilman Rogers and
carried that the salary of Graydon B.Carr be $50.00 per month for

Deputy city Clerk and $~O.OO per month for Water Collector.
Councilman Heiner discusses a building permit requestea by the
Model Market,tenants of property owned by G.Dellanini located at
5l S.Monterey Street. It is unanimously decided that the frame of
the building should be of steel with corrugated iron covering.
Councilman Mason is requested to secure prices and purchase pipe
needed at the oity reservoir.
