This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called
to crder by His Honor Mayor George C.Milias,Jr.
Present:Councilmen:George A.I~rtin,George M.I~son,Nat Heiner,
J.H.Wentworth. Absent:Councilmen:Jack Rogers,James Battersby.
Councilman Mason disousses the replacing a the water main on
North Monterey Street, between Leavesley Road and North City Limits,
stating that 300 ft. of 6 inch C.1. pipe ";1s needed ani 275 feet of
4 inch C.I.pipe is required to replace old line on the west side of
Monterey Street;the total estimated cost of necessary pipe being
$426.00.
Motion by Councilman Martin,seconded by Councilman Heiner and
carried that the Water Committee be authorized to proceed with the
extension of the water line on North Monterey Street and to purchase
the necessary pipe and fittings to complete the work.
Motion by Councilman Heiner, seconded by Councilman ~~rtin and
carried that the Sewer Committee be authorized to enter into a
oontract with GORdon E.Chappell to instal a new direct connected
motor on the deep well pump at the Sewer Far.m,the entire change-
be
over to cost $332.50, all work to/guaranteed by Gordon E.Chappell
and the usual guarantee to be entered into between the City of
Gilroy and Gordon E.Chappell.
