This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called
to order by His Honor Mayor George C.Milias,.Tr.
Present: Councilmen George A.Martin,George M.1Jason,Nat Heiner,
James Battersby,David V.Stout. Absent:Councilmen J.E.Wentworth.
The City ~~rshal is present at this meeting.
Motion by Councilman Stout, seconded by Councilman Martin and
carried that the Police Department of the City be and they are
hereby instructed to use extra and due vigilance to see that the
request of the National Defense Health and Welfare Services is
complied with,as per their letter of May 14,1942 with reference to
commercialized prostitution.
Motion by Councilman Battersby, seconded by Councilman Stout and
carried that $5000.00 be transferred from the Water Fund to the
Gene ra 1 Fund.
Motion by Councilman Battersby, seconded by Councilman Martin
and carried that L.W.V\~eeler be paid in full in the amount of
$2000.00 principal and t45.00 in interest.
