This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor 1,1ayor George "B'.Milias,Jr.
Present:Councilmen George A.Martin,George M.Mason,Nat Heiner,David
v.stout. Absent:Councilmen James Battersby,J.H.Wentworth.
The Clerkis instructed to read the bids for 1-1942 Chevrolet,6-
cylinder sedan.
One bid is pre sented and read:
Culwell Dhevrolet Co.: 1-1942 Ohevrolet 6,4 dr.Sedan
plus handling and delivery charges,state sales tax,
charge for changing equipment foom present car to new
car,less Federal Excise Tax and less $415.00 trade-in
allowance on 1939 Buiok 2 dr. sedan;net delivered price
$839. 36~'
Motion by Councilman stout, seconded by Councilman Martin and
carried that the bid of the Culwell Chevrolet Company be accepted
at the net delivered price of $839.36.
The matter of changing extra equipment from the Buick car to the
new car was placed in the hands of the Finance Coromi ttee.
The matter of a liquor license for 1?3 South Monterey street,
known as the Manila Pool Hall, is discussed and it is unanimously
agreed to oppose the granting of such a license.
