The Mayor discusses the traffic situation in the city,par'biculary

the speed at which motor vehicles are travelling on 1,1onterey Street.
It is unanimously agreed to advertise for a man to serve as trafficllI
officer and police officer.

VIHEREAS, the Sta te of California, through its DepArtment of
Public Works, Division of Eighv:ays, has presented a fi rst
suoplemental memorandl1m of egreemcnt in OtCOO rdance Vii th a projec.t
statement submitted by the City for expenditure of the 1/4 cent
gas tax for the 1945-47 bieLnium allocated for State highways in
the City of Gilroy; and
',',REREAS, the Connon Council has heard read said agreement in
full and is fami liar with the contents thereof;
Tl::EREFOHE, be it resolved by the Comrlon Council of the City
of Gilroy that said aGreement fer e:xpenditure of the 1/4 cent
~as tax allocated for State highways be and the same is hereby b
a7proved and the Kayor and the City Clerk are directed to sign
the same on behalf of said City.
