This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor George C.Milias.
Present:Councilmen George A.Martin,George M.Mas~n,J.H.Wentworth,
David V.Stout. Absent:Collncilmen Nat Heiner,Henry J.Schilling.
The Mayor announces that the purpose of th6s meeting is for the
purpose of canvassing the vote in the General Municipal Election,
May, 6,1946 and instruots the Clerk to proceed.
Councilmen George A.Martin and George M.Mason are appointed Clerks.
and the Clerk proceeds to read the total vote cast for each candidate
from each of the two precincts and the vote from two absentee vallots.
Motion by Councilman Stout,seconded by Councilman Wentworth and
carried that the election returns be accepted as read and the can-
didate or candidates receiving the greatest number of votes for the
respective offices be declared elected officers for the ensuing two
years,from June 3,1946:
