This regular adjourned meeting or the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor George C.Milias.

The Mayor states that the pUI~p'ose of this meeting is to discuss the
purchase of necessary fencing for the playground looated on South
Forest str.."t.
Mr.Jerome D.Chappell,chairman off the Parks and Recreation Commission,
is now called upon by the Mayor and Mr.Chappell states that he bas
received information that the price of steel fencing is scheduled to
go up teD per cent in cost very shortly. Mr.Chappell now presents
figures he has received from two c anpanies WhGcsell and install steel
fencing-San Jose Steel Company-$227l.00; California Wire Cloth Company-
$2035.00-both figures including installation.
Motion by Counmlman Uaniels,seoonded by Councilman Stout and carried
that that the bid of the California Wire Cloth Company of $2035.00 for
the necessary aroount of fenoing to fence the playgrounds on South Forest
Street and the installation of same be accepted as the lowest and best
bid and the contract 'l"ortltB*a)'IlMha.'3E1'eafD.lll14;nstallation for the necessary
fencing be awarded to the California Wire Cloth Company.
