Minutes 1948/07/26 1-012 Gilroy,California July 26,1948. This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to order by His Honor Mayor George C.Milias. Present:Councilmen George M.Masou,J.H.Wentworth,James B.Thomas, David V.Stout,Dale D.Daniels. Absent:Councilmen Ray L.Stever~. This being the time specified in a Wupiliishedilegal notice calling a public hearing on the matter of rezoning certain territory IDca~ed in the southwest section of the city and original zoning of the First Western Addition to the City of Gilroy, the Mayor now asks it there isany person prese~t who desires to protest and/or object to the re-zoning and the original zoning as set forth in the legal publication. The condition is several streets is discussed and Councilman Wentworth is instruc~ed to ascertain what can be done to improve the intersection of Church Street and Gurries Driv~~ Counci+man Mason states that he has figures from local contractors to build a building to house the new pumping plant at Carmel and First Street. Councilman Mason is instructed to have specifications and plans drawn up and prepared for advertising for bids for the b construction of a building to ~use the new pump.
