This special meetingoof the Oommon Oouncil is called to order by
His Honor Mayor George C.Mllias.

The Mayor now states that the purpose of this meeting is to
discussmatterQpertaining to the police department generally.
After considerable discussion it is unanimously agreed that other
sources be contacted for information on organization of police depart-
ments and that the charter provisions pertaining to rules and reg-
ulations for the police department be rigidly followed and that a
set of rules and regulations for the Gilroy Police Department be
drawn up within a reasonable lengih of time.
There being no further business in connection with this O:omm1ttee
meeting the Mayor now declares this meeting adjourned.
