This regular adjounred meeting of the Common Council was called to
order by his Honor George C. Milias.
Present, Councilmen: J. H. Wentworth, Ray L. Stevens, J. B. Thomas,
Dale Daniels and Goerge M. Mason.
Absent, Councilman: David V. Stout.
This being the time for the hearing of the charges involving the
City ~~rshal as embraced within the J. H. Jronison Service report and
word having been received from the Clerk of the Court that the Superior
Court of Santa Clara County had denied the application for a writ of
prohibition from the City Marshal, the Mayor announced that the hearing
should be continued.
It was mooved by Councilman Daniels, seconded by Councilman Stevens
and carried that the hearing of said charges be continued to Wednesday,
April 27, 1949 at 10 o'clock A. M. in the City Hall.
A letter from the Planning Comraission recommending that a permit be
granted
.~the Home Gas Appliance Co. to erect a butane, propane plant at Welburn
Avenue and Monterey Streets was read.
After discussion it was mooved by Councilman Wentworth, seconded by
Councilman Daniels and carried that because of possible danger to sur-
rounding areas the permit be denied.
