This regular adjourned meeting ot the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor George C.Milias.
Present:Councilmen George M.Mason.J.H.Wentworth,James B.Thomas,
Dale D.Daniels. Absent:Councilmen Ray L.Stevens,David V.Stout.
This being the time specified in a legal notice published in the
Gilroy Evening Dispatoh to hear any protests or objeotions to re-
zone trom Zone"A" to Zone "B" the tollowing desoribe. property:
COMMENCING at the Northeasterly corner of Second and Hanna
Streets and running thenoe is a Northerly direotion along the
East side of Hanna Street 392 feet to the premises ot Balanesi,
thenoe at right angles in an Easterly direotion 150 teet,and
thenoe in a Southerly direotion a uniform distanoe ot 150 teet
trom the Easterly line ot Hanna Street to the Northerly line ot
Second Street, and thence in a Westerly direction to the point
ot beginning and being Lots 7 and 8 of Blook 5, North Range 4
West, as shown upon Plat' Book in the City Clerk's ot.rice in the
City of Gilroy.
The Mayor now asks i~ there is any person present who desires to
pirotest and/or object the the proposed rezoning. No person appears
to protest and/or objeot.
Motion by Counoilman Thomas,seconded by Councilman Mason and
carried that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary
Ordinanoe '-'e. rezone the area as presented at this hearing.
x Motion by Councilman Wentworth,seconded by Counoilman Daniels and
carried that the Street Committee and the Chiet Administrative
Otficer work out a plan for improvement ot seo ondary streets tor
1949-l950 up t6 .the amount o~ $4,400.00 and adopt the system ot
of Major Streets as .set up by the City EDgineer.
