The Mayor announces th2t the f' urpose of this meeting is to cons';' ider rezoning of portions of the city as recommended by the Gilroy City Planning Corr~ission and to hear any protests and/or object- ions to the proposed rezoning. The Mayor nmi calls upon the City Clerk to outline the proposed rezoning by use of a large wall map upon which the proposed changes in zoning were indicated in color. The Mayor states that the passage of the ordinance cloEed all discussion on the rexoning and stated that he had asked on two diff'erenct occasions during the hearing if there was anyone present v!ho wislled to speak against the proposed rezoning. The matter of Fire Zone changes is discussed and it is unanirliou81~' 8.bTeed to turn this matter over to the Fire Committee for study and report to the COlli'1cil.
