This special meeting of the Common Council is called to order by His Honor
}~yor George C. Milias. Present: Councilmen C. }1. Rush, Sig Sanchez, Kenneth
Petersen and Everett Hent\.forth. Absent: Councilmen C. VI. Pate and Charles Gallo.
The !j~yor states that this meeting is called for an appointment to fill the
offices of City Clerk and City Administrator left vacant by the death of Pl1ilip
A Cox.
A motion was made by Councilman Rush, seconded by Councilman ~lentw.orth and
carried that G. B. Carr be appointed to fill the office of City Clerk and City
Administrator for the unexpired term of }~. Cox. ~
The matter of hiring someone to fill the office of Deputy City Clerk is
discussed.
A motion was made by Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Wentworth
and carried that the matter of hiring extra office help to carryon for the
present be left in the hands of the Finance Committee.
There being no further business, this special meeting was adjourned.
