This special meeting of the Common Council is called to order
by His Honor Sig Sanchez.
The Mayor states that the purpose of this meeting is to ~rant
or deny a Use Permit to Republic Powdered Metals, Inc. at the
gymkhana ground property.
Present: Councilmen Carl W. Pate, Courtland M. Rush, Kenneth
L. Petersen, and Wilford E. Jordan.
Absent: Councilmen Everett C. Wentworth and Charles Gallo.
A letter is read from the Planning Commission recommending that
a Use Permit be granted to Republic Powdered Metals, Inc.
Resolution No. 216 of the Planning Commission is presented and
read.
Director of Public Works Kludt explains Republic Powdered Metals' .
Inc. application for a Use Permit.
The Mayor requests that the letter of Republic Powdered r~etals,
Inc. to the Planning Commission be read. The letter is read.
Resolution No. 555 is presented and read by the City Attorney.
Motion by Councilman Pate second by Councilman Petersen that
Resolution No. 555 be adopted.

RESOLUTION OF THE CO~~ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY GRANTING
USE PERMIT TO REPUBLIC POWDERED METALS, INC., A CORPORATION.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 24th day of February, 1960, by the
