This regular adjourned meeting of the City Council is called to'
order by His Honor Sig Sanchez.
Present: Council Members: Carl W. Pate, Kenneth L. Petersen,
Courtland M. Rush, Everett C. Wentworth, and Slg Sanchez.
The Mayor states that the purpose of this meeting is to consider
issuance of a use permit to Bonanza Corporation for a gasoline service
station at the south west corner of Tenth and Monterey Streets.
Director of Public Works Kludt reports that the Planning Commis-
sion met this eveni~g and adopted a resolution recommending the issuance
of a use permit to Bonanza Corporation.
The City Attorney presents and reads Resolution No. 601. Motion
by Councilman Pate second by Councilman Rush that Resolution No. 601 be
adopted.
RESOLUTION NO. 601
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY APPROVING USE PERMIT
GRANTED TO BONANZA, INC., TO USE PREMISES LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWESTERLY
CORNER OF TENTH AND MONTEREY STREETS FOR SERVICE STATION PURPOSES.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of February, 1961, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Pate,Petersen,Rush,Wentworth, and Sanchez.
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT:COUNCILMEMBERS: Goodrich and Jordan
City Administrator Carr requests a work meeting on February 27th
with the Planning Commission and the Council to present the capital out-
lay program for the 1960-61 fiscal year.
Discussion is had and decision is made not to hold this work meet-
ing because the Planning Commission will follow the Charter and have the
capital outlay program prepared for presentation to the Counci I by March
I, 1961, and there will be no need of the Council studying it before this
date. '
Motion by Counci lman Wentworth second by Councilman Pate and car-
ried that this Council meeting adjourn.
