Appointment of
Cemmissioners
Gilroy, California
January 4, 1967
The regular adjourned meeting of the City Council was
called to order by His Honor Kenneth L. Petersen at 5:01p.m.
Present: Council Members~ John E. Allemand, George T.
Duffin, Norman B. Goodrich, Charles F. Quartiroli, Everett C.
Wentworth, and Kenneth L. Petersen.
Absent: Council Member: Chester R. Eckard.
The Mayor suggested the following names for Commissioners
to replace those Commissioner's terms expiring December 31, 1966:
Library & Culture Commission - Mrs. Edmund H. Richard, Jr. and
Howard Smith; Personnel Commission'- Donald Dillehay and Howard
Basch; Parks & Recreation Commission - James Thorpe and Masaru
Kunimura; Planning Commission - Dale J. Stephenson and Donald
Mal inoff. I t was also noted that the proposed appointments of Mrs.
Edmund H. Richard Jr. and Mr. Donald Dillehay were to be pending
in order to obtain their acceptance of said appointment. Motion
was made by Councilman Duffin seconded by Councilman Goodrich and
carried that the names as presented by the Mayor for the various
appointments to ,Commissions be approved for a 4 year full-term as
recommended with theunderstanding that Mrs. Richard, Jr. and Mr.
Dillehay would be pending in order to obtain their acceptance of
said appointment.

So.Co.Airport Councilman Goodrich presented proposals for boundary divi-
sions regarding the proposed South County Airport in order to have
a presentation for the Morgan Hill City Council at the Joint-Meeting
scheduled for January 9, 1967 at the South County Building at
8:00 P.M. Discussion was had. Councilman Wentworth also presented
a proposal regarding same.
Adjournment At 5:20 p.m. motion was made by Councilman Wentworth
seconded by Councilman Allemand and carried to adjourn.
