The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Gilroy City Council was
called to order by His Honor Mayor Norman B. Goodrich at 5:00 p.m.

Absent: Council Members: Fred P. Batrez, George T. Duffin, and
John E. Pate.

Library Bonds The Mayor stated that the meeting of October 5, 1970 had been
adjourned to this date to award the bid for the General Obligation Bonds ...
of 1969 - $600,000 Second Division for the Library Facility. City
Administrator Wood reported that one (1) bid had been received at 10:00
a.m., October 6, 1970 from the Bank of America N. T. & S.A. and Associates
at a net interest cost of 5$96% and that the County Board of Supervi-
sors had approved said bid.

Councilman Pate entered at 5:04 p.m. and took his seat at the
Counc i I tab 1 e.
Motion was made by Councilman Wentworth seconded by Councilman
Pate that the reading of Resolution No. 1513 be waived and that it be
adopted.

Ordinance No. 896 and Ordering Special Municipal Election cancelled.
Motion was made by Councilman Kennedy seconded by Councilman
Silva that the reading of Ordinance, No. 898 be waived and that it be
adopted.

Board of Supervisors to rescind their Resolution Ordering Consolidation

November 3, 1970~ Motion was made by Councilman Pate seconded by
Councilman Kennedy that the reading of Resolution No. 1514 be waived
and that it be adopted.

HELD NOVEMBER 3, 1970.

City Administrator Wood noted that the Registrar of Voters wi 11
allow an insert to be included with the sample ballots for the
November 3, 1970 General Election, to inform the voters of the sale
of the Gilroy Library Bonds making possible the removal of interest
rate increase proposition from said Ballot; that said proposition.
would be removed from the Offi.cial Ballots for said Election.
At 5:06 p.m. the Mayor adjourned the mee~ing.
