The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Gilroy City Council was
called to order by His Honor Mayor Norman B. Goodrich at 8:00 p.m.
Roll Call Present: Council Members: William E. Childers, Brian D. Cunningham,
Roberta H. Hughan, Marion T. Link, David V. Stout and Norman B. Goodrich.
Absent: Council Member: John E. Pate.
Pub.Hear.re: The Mayor stated that it was the time and place scheduled for
78-79 the continued Public Hearing on the 1978-1979 Proposed Budget.
Budget
City Administrator Wood presented a Summary Report on the revised
Budget and recommended that action on the proposed 1978-1979 Budget be con-
tinued until additional information is received on the prerequisites under
SB 154.
The Mayor asked if there was anyone in the audience wishing to
speak for or against the proposed budget. There was no comment from anyone
in the audience.
Motion was made by Councilman Childers seconded by Councilman
Link and carried that the Public Hearing be closed.
Motion was made by Councilman Childers seconded by Councilman
Link and carried that Council continue action on the 1978-79 Budget to an
adjourned meeting on Friday, June 30, 1978 at 2:00 p.m.
Discussion was had in regard to proposed revised Recreation Fees.
Res.#78-42 Motion was made by Councilman Link seconded by Councilman Stout
Rec.Fees that the reading of Resolution No. 78-42 be waived and that it be adopted.
RESOLUTION NO. 78-42
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY FIXING RECREATION PROGRAM
FEES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of June, 1978, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: CHILDERS, CUNNINGHAM, HUGHAN, LINK, STOUT and
GOODRICH.

169 G.O.Bonds City Administrator Wood presented a letter from the County of Santa
2nd Div. Clara requesting the City to pay $32,826.00 of the 1969 G.O. Bonds - 2nd Divi-
(Library) sion ((Library) in order for the County to provide additional library ser-
vices.
Motion was made by Councilman Stout seconded by Councilman Cunningham
and carried that said request be denied.
Fire Assoc. City Administrator Wood recommended that action be continued in
Memo.of regard to the Gilroy Fire Associations' Memorandum of Understanding Agree-
Under- ment to the adjourned regular meeting of June 30, 1978.

Adjournment At 8:51 p.m. motion was made by Councilman Stout seconded by Council-
man Childers and carried that the meeting adjourn to an Executive Session
to review Individual Staff salaries.
At 9:58 p.m. the Mayor reconvened the meeting and adjourned to
an adjourned regular meeting of Friday, June 30, 1978 at 2:00 p.m.
